172: Sunlight

Summary: Sunlight is a wiry, slender black and yellow calico molly with white ears, a black muzzle, and light magenta eyes. She is a current, and the founding, healer of the Tribe of the Shaded Mount. She is a thoughtful, observant molly with an interest in all things Shade and history related who tends to be found around the medicine chamber.

True Name: Broken Ray of Sunlight

Biography:

Sunlight was raised by a small clowder of cats that contained several Speakers, and spent much of her kithood hearing stories of various spirits, histories, and stories while she learned herbs and medicines.

With such an upbringing, she wasn't alarmed when she began to dream of a shadowy cat that called themself a Night Shade. Instead, she happily listened to the stories and teachings of her spirit mentor, learning about the way of life in the mountain and the history of the Ancient Tribe.

It was only a matter of time, really, before her path led her away from the Speakers who'd raised her, soft goodbyes exchanged before she set off for the Shaded Mount under the instruction of her Shade mentor. The long journey was rough for the molly, who only knew the basics of hunting and often supplemented her strength with various herbs she could find, however things looked up when she met a duo of cats on a similar journey to her own among the foothills of her destination, Shred and Creek.

Hitting it off with the other two, they finished their journey to the territory that would soon be theirs together, finding the cave system that would become the camp of their soon-to-be-formed Tribe. It was here that Sunlight was granted her true name by her mentor, Broken Ray of Sunlight after her black-patched pelt, and she took on the mantle of the Tribe of the Shaded Mount's first healer, and the new keeper of the history that was being written before her eyes.

Personality: Sunlight is an inquisitive molly with a love of learning, especially things regarding history and medicine. She is very caring, fitting her role of the Tribe' healer, and is dedicated to her work. She tends to be soft-spoken, gentle in sharing her thoughts, and good at picking up little details when it comes to it. She can be nervous at times, however she's generally good at keeping a level head in the moment and saving her stress for later.
